Men’s ministry breakfast

Josh Bidwell is a devoted family man, cancer survivor, former University of Oregon football player, and 12-season NFL football punter for the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2005.

In 2011 he was invited to be the fulltime chaplain for the Oregon Ducks. He leads chapels, Bible Studies, and offers counsel and encouragement to the players and coaches to help them know Christ and become faithful, godly leaders who passionately seek out God’s will for their lives.

At age 23, when he played for the Green Bay Packers, he felt like he was on top of the world. A stellar college kicking career at the University of Oregon and a spot on the Packers. But everything seemed to fall apart when he received a diagnosis of aggressive testicular cancer.

Now Josh shares his gripping story of overcoming adversity and eventually becoming one of the NFL’s leading punters.

He established the Josh Bidwell Foundation in 2005, which benefits the Community Cancer Center of Douglas County, youth sports programs, various youth services, Young Life, and providing scholarships.

He and some current Duck players will share at a Men’s Breakfast Saturday, October 3, 8 am at Portland Community Church.
